Top 10: largest hotels in the world

Monday newsletters always feature top 10 travel lists to inspire.

Today (June 15, 2015): Top 10: largest hotels in the world (by room count).

A couple of weeks ago, it was announced that Braj Kudai is set to become the world’s largest hotel by room count when it opens in 2017. The resort will be located at the Manafia area in Makkah’s central zone, only 2.2 km south of the Holy Haram in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. While this sounds like pure horror to most of us, some mammoth hotels have built a reputation on impressing their guests with palatial, almost galactic dimensions. I hereby present you the current 10 largest hotels on the planet, with 7 of them being located in one and the same city!
