Thank you so much for your advice about Swiss Business. It is not so much that I didn’t like it – For normal sized people it would be magnificent – I have always said the Business in SQ is equivalent to First on most other airlines. No matter what I did upright or flat I did not fit AT ALL, and anything in-between was impossible.

However, according to your pictures, there must be more space than SQ as you could lie flat straight and not diagonally into a tiny corner – the bed is triangular. It will be a daylight flight BKK ZUR so I am not particularly worried about sleeping just being able to be seated reclined comfortably as this was impossible on SQ. Also sitting upright, the SQ screens are so huge they are in your face, so I don’t mind the smaller screen.

Hi there, If you did not like SQ Business Class, I am afraid you won’t like Swiss’ Business Class either. Make sure you book a flight on Swiss’ Boeing 777 (and not the Airbus A330/340) since the B777 features Swiss’ newest, upgraded Business Class product. Safe travels!

Dear Travel Expert,
Have only flown Swiss 1st, but do not now have enough points to upgrade so will have to go business on the long haul BKK ZUR. Am terrified as I just returned Singapore Sydney business with SQ and was the most miserable flight of my life. I am 6’3″ (193) and I just could not fit. In seating position, my knees and legs hit the seat in front unless sitting bolt upright. In flat bed I could not easily fit my feet into a squashed corner (different to Swiss, you have to lie diagonally. I could see a deep venous thrombosis coming up not good at my age (76). Do you think this would happen to me in Swiss business? I tried Premium and ordinary Economy in SQ and they were more comfortable. Please be so kind as to send me reply.
