We stayed here four nights recently. The design aesthetic is EXCEPTIONAL. The hotel, pool area, rooms, Pacman restaurant all are beautiful. The location was absolutely spot on, and you can literally cross the road from reception, nip through an alley and you’re in the main touristy picturesque area of Oia with all the shops, restaurants, caldera views (plus influencers and cruise ship hordes!). Despite being so close to the centre of Oia, it’s doesn’t feel at all as if it’s in the midst of all that chaos.

Our room had TOTAL privacy, nobody could see onto our balcony, into our room, or into our plunge pool at all, but it’s worth noting that we could see some of the villas’ private pool areas as we walked up the main slope to reception, so whether you have complete and total privacy is possibly an element of luck. We noted in the centre of Oia that some people’s plunge pools and balconies were visible to all the crowds, with zero privacy at all!

We noted that the food prices at Pacman and Beefbar on site looked eye wateringly expensive, even for Santorini, and we ate at local restaurants, which were only a very short walk away. Roka restaurant was so close, and the food was great and far more reasonably priced.

I echo what you say about the views. Watching the sunset on your private balcony is great, but you cannot see the caldera. You might want to split a trip to Santorini with a caldera view property in the South, which will likely be better value too.

Lastly, the staff here were INCREDIBLY attentive. They have obviously been well drilled to say good morning to everyone, rush around topping up your water, offering drinks, towels etc. It actually was a bit much at times! I think this resort is definitely mainly aimed at wealthy Americans (we are British).

On the whole, we had a great time here. It is a great location to see Oia for a few days without being slap bang in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. We recommend a few days here and then a few days in the South also.
