We flew Johannesburg/Madrid business class this week. Everything about Iberia is good, and the staff must have read your comments because they were, (with one exception ~ who hastily changed her tune), really superb. Friendly, helpful and highly professional. One complaint. Some of the food ran out prior to our late departure.

I guess, a further example of Iberia crews being generally uninterested in their paying customers comfort while making sure they themselves are comfortable.

Some areas of the cabin can be a little warmer than others due to air flow constrictions from the cabin design used buy that particular airline or equipment under the cabin floor such as hydraulic pumps or the air conditioning system, both of which put out a lot of heat. But usually if the cabin is to warm it is because the FAs have the cabin set for that temperature, on long flights they tend to keep the cabin warmer because the areas around the doors, where the galleys are tend to get cold and that is where the FAs spend most of there time hence they bump up the cabin temp to try to keep the galleys at a comfortable temp.

This is especially true on the A330 if you are in one of the centre (honeymoon) seats in business class and the purser explained that they often receive complaints on the A330 from the occupants of these seats, so it’s really an Airbus problem rather than an Iberia problem but uncomfortable nevertheless.

Having recently flown several legs with Iberia, the cabin crew always seem to be cool, distant and totally uninterested in their customers. Everything gets done on-time and will efficiency but you really get the feeling that the crew would rather not be doing this for a living.

The emergency exits are unusable during flight and cannot be opened due to aircraft pressurization.

Regarding the snacks trolley: I hadn’t even thought about it, but indeed in case of an emergency, they may pose a problem. I am sure that Iberia must have thought this through :). Safe travels!
