Great comparison. It’s hard to go wrong with either property but totally agree that the Four Seasons is the more beautiful of the two.

One very important consideration, especially if you already are a Marriott Bonvoy member or planning to become one: it is possible to earn/redeem points at the St Regis, which makes it far more economical than the Four Seasons, which lacks any loyalty program or affiliation whatsoever.
The Intercontinental was perhaps the first true 5-star resort on Bora Bora. Since it is going under refurbishment and rebranding, in what avatar will it finally emerge and when?
