It is possible to book Aman for a lower rate though a travel agency.
German travel agents like TUI / Thomas Cook offer Amanpuri in Thailand for lower rates than the Aman Website (in August around 60 or 70 euro cheaper per night).
For short stays Virtuoso can be better because of the room upgrade and hotelcredit.
