I’ve had the privilege of staying at Post Ranch Inn several times, and agree with the majority of your review. It is a terrific hotel/resort in a truly magical setting. I must also give a special mention to the staff; they are uniformly brilliant and so helpful.

Personally, I rather like the slightly dated/rustic decor. It feels appropriate to the context and setting of the hotel, and would detract from the experience, I think, if the rooms were all minimalist Beverly Hills chic or London glamour.

My partner and I still joke about ‘the Lexus of Doom’ that comes to collect guests when it’s time to check out. Ah well. If it’s sad to leave, it just means you’re keen to come back!

Absolutely perfect and accurate depiction of Post Ranch inn! I was there in 2018, and concur with your observation that the interiors are a bit dated. Surprised that four years after your visit, no improvements can be seen.
Overall, it is a breath of Heaven!
