Eight of the fourteen eight-thousanders (14 independent mountains on earth\u00a0that are more than 8,000 meters or 26,247\u00a0feet high above\u00a0sea level)\u00a0are located in the country, offering strikingly beautiful mountainous scenery with intense trekking opportunities.<\/p>\n When you hike in the majestic cloudy rainforest of Costa Rica, watch the eruptions of explosive volcanos or relax under the palm trees of the white sandy beaches, the thought of an eco-paradise and the most beautiful place on Earth will be on the tip of your tongue.\u00a0The Corcovado peninsula in the south is one of the most diverse biotopes on earth and will leave an astonishing impression (so be sure to put it on your itinerary when visiting the country).<\/p>\n With their lava-spewing volcanoes, lush valleys, glorious waterfalls and towering coastal cliffs, the islands of\u00a0Hawaii\u00a0boast some of the most spectacularly beautiful scenery on earth (although they may generally be more known for their palm-fringed white, red and black beaches<\/a>).
