Hi, as always your report is detailed and informative! I am familiar with the property as we also considered it when traveling the area years ago. But we found it ridiculously overpriced! And the bathroom you had seems tiny and somewhat outdated … For travelers who want value for money, I recommend considering the nearby Grand Hotel Miramare in Santa Margherita Ligure. It may not be exactly in the same league yet it is also a 5-star property and has a beach, and you can even walk to Portofino from here.
P.S. typo in the section tips for future guests: say instead of stay!

I’m a new reader and enjoying luxurytravel. Perhaps you may wish to consider spotlighting some properties that we can actually visit. Americans are not allowed into many Euro countries. That may change after the election.
