Interesting to read this as I flew to Con Dao last month for 8 nights at the Poulo Condor Resort, 5 minutes down the road from the airport.
Like others, I am not a good flyer and am not a fan of the ATR but the flight is mercifully short and the weather at that time was fine travelling in both directions. But I would not want to do that journey during the rainy season.
If you ever get a chance to go, then I very much recommend the Poulo Condor Resort.

Thank you for your post. I am also scared of flying and am not excited to fly on a smaller plane. Your post made me feel better. We are sitting almost at the rear of the plane so I can get on last and exit first.

Very interesting article. I did that trip last year, on the way to Six Senses, and it was quite an experience! It reminds me a domestic flight between 2 islands in Seychelles.

I love the ATR families of airplanes because I really feel like I am flying. Though I see your point that anyone who is nervous on a plane should probably avoid ATR flights.
