They regulate the water temperature by your A/C thermostat setting. You must increase the temperature of your room to get hot water. We stayed in two separate villas here and went above the 25°C/77°F threshold they told us to 30°C/86°F A/C setting. The water got warmer yes but never steaming hot. Very disappointing for our honeymoon bath we took overlooking the gorgeous view of the sunset and bay. The beach has a nice shallow area for swimming but we found it to be too crowded with chairs. Not enough room to feel exclusive like a Four Seasons. Absolutely no one used the pool and it had an awkward layout.

There were more kids at the resort than expected, especially for our honeymoon. The room was well appointed, the breakfast buffet is a feast to beholden, the onsite staff is warm and attentive. 5 stars to the staff. They made a lovely flower petal display on our bed and a cake for our honeymoon upon my husband’s request.

I wrote this before reading your blog post and it was interesting to see you had the very same observations!

Which is not always great for those who are trying to maximize their travel experience over a number of different islands/countries etc.
