Thanks for this overview – for flights I use http://www.skyscanner.com which is pretty easy to use and gives a lot of options. For hotels I use http://www.privateupgrades.com which is a alternative to FHR with better customer support. Hope the crisis is over soon and we can read many more of your helpful reviews soon!
