I agree with all you’ve touched on. VERY preachy.
TruthSayer, Good gracious. Settle down!

First time travelers here! We would not know about the politics if so many would not keep bringing it up. Do what is safe for you, but thank you for the information!!! It was one of the best reads I have come across!!

I read this blog because I wanted to learn from Dr. LTE’s experiences during his visit to Greece. I don’t think I’ll be visiting the Greek Islands any time soon 🙁

No doubt covid has changed the world in so many ways and certainly makes me appreciate my own health and the freedoms we enjoy in relation to travelling.

I’ve noticed a lot of space devoted to mask virtue signaling and patrolling and I commented on it. I stand by my comments, as I disagree that there is a true consensus around the efficacy of cloth masks. The author of the blog allows for comments and he can choose to listen to my feedback or he can ignore it – that is his right. Likewise, I have said my peace, and have the right to stop reading if it continues to the point of annoyance (to me). I understand that not everyone feels as I do, but I am certainly not alone. Either way, safe travels to all.

New enough to it (retirement) that Nursing staff haven’t lost my number. They call me up in tears. They’re stressed beyond what is describable. My fellow Physicians are just beside themselves. The system is overtaxed in the U.S. The unvaccinated are begging for the vaccine just before being incubated .. to which they’re told … “we’re way past that now”. You may have the “right” not to mask up BUT you do NOT have the right to bring harm to and infect others with a highly contagious virus. All of this is preventable, containable, and should never have escalated the way it has.

I would not expect anything less from @Luxury Travel Expert as this man is a Doctor. Why would you even think that he would say anything that is not promoting safety? Doctors take an oath, “to do no harm”.

Since you had Covid, maybe you need to increase your “mitigation practices”! Especially since the vaccinated can still be infected by the Delta variant.

Especially when they can see you walking around filming it. It sets such a poor example considering you seem to enjoy visiting the higher end hotels and premium flights where you think the standard would be set higher. That would irk me to no end considering the money spent to go there. It’s not a good feeling to give up when you try so hard to keep others safe by doing the right thing. Hope you did manage to have a wonderful time overall. 🙂

I am pro vaccine. I had Covid. I’m not saying it’s not real, but I follow the NYC approach of encouraging vaccinations without mandating masks. People like you act like “the science” is some sort of religion that is the one truth when in reality it is constantly changing, being challenged, etc. Also, not all scientific experts are of one mind on this. See Dr. Michael Osterholm, one of our leading infectious disease experts, saying on CNN last week that cloth masks do not work in preventing the spread of COVID 19 (he advocates only KN95 surgical masks, which are rarely used by the broader public). So, enough with your lecture…I believe in science, but there is not one approach that works (as evidenced by disparate outcomes around the world even in countries that used similar mitigation efforts).
